The 2045 Comprehensive Plan provides a long-term framework for guiding growth, development, and land use throughout Jefferson County over the next 20 years. The plan was adopted on February 25, 2025, following review and affirmation of amendments made by the County Commission.

Plan Adoption
The 2045 Comprehensive Plan became effective on February 25, 2025, following the Planning Commission’s affirmation of amendments made by the County Commission.
The County Commission approved amendments to the 2045 Comprehensive Plan Update on January 14, 2025, and returned the amended plan to the Planning Commission for review.
